We collect and retain information about our customers in order to provide customers with bank products and services and generally to operate our business. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources: Information we receive from you on applications or other forms; Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and Information we receive from third parties such as a consumer reporting agency.
Will any of the collected information be disclosed to others?
We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance, and your payment history with us) with companies related to us by common control or ownership (“affiliates”) but we do so only when those affiliates assist in servicing your account with us. We do not share additional information about you or your account (such as information we receive from you in applications and information from credit reporting agencies) with our affiliates. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to “nonaffiliated third parties” (i.e. third parties that are not members of our corporate family) in any circumstance except as permitted under law.
Community Bank Plymouth does not sell customer information. We only share information as described above, only when required by law or when it is necessary to better service or manage your account with us.
How is the collected information protected
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees that need to know such information for business purposes. Employees are trained on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and the bank maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. When the Bank conducts business with third parties, we also require them to maintain similar policies and standards of conduct regarding the privacy of customer information.
